India’s Message to Pakistan: “Wahan Se Goli Chali Gi, Toh Yahan Se Gola Chale Ga” Operation Sindoor Still Active

Despite a recent ceasefire understanding between India and Pakistan, Indian government sources have clarified that Operation Sindoor is ongoing. Officials told news agencies that Prime Minister Narendra Modi instructed the armed forces to deliver a strong response to any aggression from across the border. “There’s a new normal in India’s stance on cross-border terrorism,” said sources familiar with the operation.

After India’s airstrikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan-administered territories on May 7, New Delhi adopted a clear policy: if Pakistan initiates fire, India will respond with greater intensity; if Pakistan halts, India will follow suit.

Diplomatic communication with Islamabad, according to the same sources, will only occur through the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) channel. “There are no other subjects for discussion at this time,” they emphasized.

In a notable development, the Indus Waters Treaty has now been directly tied to Pakistan’s actions on cross-border terrorism. Officials said the treaty would remain suspended as long as Pakistan-backed terrorism against India continues. “Pakistan cannot expect selective cooperation while supporting terrorism,” the sources added.

Prime Minister Modi reportedly conveyed a firm message to US Vice President JD Vance, stating that any hostile act by Pakistan would be met with a significantly stronger Indian retaliation. That same evening, after Pakistan targeted 26 Indian locations, India launched a powerful counter-strike on Pakistani bases, as reported by PTI.

On Saturday, both nations reached a ceasefire agreement following days of heightened conflict triggered by India’s targeting of terror hubs in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and parts of Punjab province. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri confirmed the ceasefire was to take effect from 5 PM IST on Saturday.

However, Indian officials reported violations by Pakistan, including shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) and drone intrusions from Jammu and Kashmir all the way to Gujarat, breaching the full stretch of the international border.

By Sunday morning, authorities stated that the situation had stabilized, although Indian forces remain alert and have been instructed to respond decisively to any further ceasefire violations.
