Honeymoon Murder Case : Wife Surrenders After Husband’s Murder, Indore Missed In Meghalaya

Shillong : Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of the Indore man, Raja Raghuvanshi, who was found dead in Meghalaya during their honeymoon, has surrendered to the Police in Uttar Pradesh, in connection to the murder of her husband. Sonam had reportedly gone missing after her husband’s body was discovered in a gorge beneath the Weisawdong Falls parking lot in East Khasi Hills on June 2.

Sonam Raghuvanshi, who has reportedly surrendered in the murder of her husband Raja Raghuvanshi, after the two went missing during their honeymoon in Meghalaya, called her family late last night from a local dhaba (roadside eatery) in Uttar Pradesh. Mr Yadav recalled the episode and said, “Sonam came here around 1am and asked the customers for help. Then she walked to me and asked for my phone to call her family. I gave her my mobile. She started crying while talking to her family. I spoke to the family and informed them about her location. The call disconnected.”

Mr Yadav offered Sonam water, he said. “After a while, her brother called me and asked to inform the local police about Sonam’s whereabouts. Around 2-2:30 am, Police took Sonam,” he added. Sonam was reportedly alone. Meghalaya cops believe Sonam was in an extra-marital affair that led to Raja’s murder. She orchestrated the murder in connivance with her boyfriend, Raj Kushwaha, according to them.

The family of Raja Raghuvanshi, the Indore-based businessman who was found dead during his honeymoon in Meghalaya, has demanded justice after the victim’s wife surrendered to killing him. Raja’s brother, Sachin, said that Sonam being found alive raises many questions. According to Raja’s brother, everything was normal during the wedding.
