Mandi, Himachal Pradesh – A devastating accident occurred on Tuesday morning when a private bus traveling from Baldwara to Mandi plunged into a 200-foot-deep gorge near Kalkhar in the Patdighat area of Sarkaghat subdivision. The crash resulted in the deaths of two individuals, with 15 to 20 passengers sustaining injuries.
The bus, operated by Thakur Coach, lost control and veered off the road, leading to the catastrophic fall. Local villagers played a critical role in the immediate aftermath, assisting in the rescue efforts by helping to extract the injured from the wreckage. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene, and the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
