Mumbai: Businessman Robert Vadra appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the second day in a row on Wednesday in connection with the Gurugram land case. As Robert Vadra proceeded inside the ED office in the national capital, Priyanka Gandhi stepped outside her car and shared a warm hug with her husband.
Robert Vadra, brother-in-law of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, appeared before the central probe agency for questioning in a 2008 Haryana land deal, linked to a money laundering case. The probe agency is now probing the deal, suspecting the profits may be linked to money laundering.
Meanwhile, Vadra, 56, expressed his discontent with the ongoing investigation. “It is very unfortunate. I feel people don’t believe in the agencies anymore because everyone in the country has realised that the ED and other agencies are being misused to put pressure on those who expose the government’s wrongdoings.
The businessman also said that the ED took action against him because he responds to the government. “They can see I have become the voice of the people. I’m almost like an activist now. This happened because I respond to the government and continue to fight back against the constant false accusations made against me.
