Gunbattle Ignites in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir

A fierce exchange of gunfire erupted between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday, according to local authorities.

The clash began when security personnel initiated a cordon and search operation in the Kulnar Bazipora area of Bandipora, acting on intelligence about the presence of militants. The operation escalated into a full-fledged encounter when the concealed terrorists fired upon the approaching forces, officials reported.

No casualties have been reported as of now, and authorities are awaiting further updates, they added.
