Kolkata: A devastating gas cylinder explosion rocked a residence in Pathar Pratima, located in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district, late Monday night, killing seven people, among them four children and two women. The tragic incident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., left the local community in shock as emergency responders rushed to the scene.

Authorities reported that the blast likely originated from a gas cylinder within the home, triggering a fierce fire that rapidly engulfed the structure.
