Future of 85 Lakh Children in Six States at Risk: Rahul Criticizes BJP Over Exam Leaks

NEW DELHI: On Thursday, Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi condemned the recurring examination paper leaks as a “systematic failure” that jeopardizes the future of 8.5 million students across six states. Speaking in Hindi on X, he argued that these leaks shatter the hopes of diligent students and their families, creating uncertainty and sending a harmful message that shortcuts might be rewarded over hard work.
Gandhi recalled that it has been less than a year since the NEET paper leak rocked the nation. He criticized the Modi government for relying on a new law as a remedy after public protests, asserting that the continued leaks expose the inadequacy of such measures.
According to Gandhi, the problem can only be resolved when all political parties and governments set aside their differences and enforce strict, unified actions. “Our children deserve exams with integrity, and we must protect that right at all costs,” he stressed.
Drawing on the metaphor of a “chakravyuh” a complex military formation meant to trap an enemy Gandhi likened the exam paper leaks to a dangerous “padmavyuh,” referencing the lotus-shaped symbol associated with the BJP. He warned that this persistent issue traps the nation in a cycle of dishonesty, urging a collective effort to break the cycle and secure a fair future for students.
