Fresh Encounter Breaks Out Between Army, Terrorists In J&K’s Kathua

Jammu: A new gunbattle unfolded on Thursday between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, where an extensive counter-terrorism operation has been ongoing for four days, according to officials. The skirmish began in the early hours when security personnel detected the terrorists in the Ghati Juthana area of Rajbagh, the officials reported. Additional forces have been deployed to the scene, and more information is expected as the situation develops. Authorities believe the terrorists involved are part of the same group that slipped away following a confrontation in the Hiranagar sector of the district on Sunday evening.
