
New Delhi : Explosives were found at Bengaluru’s Kalasipalya bus stand, triggering an immediate response from local law enforcement and the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS). Raising security concerns in the busy transit area. Following the alert, officials from the Kalasipalya Police Station, along with the Anti-Terrorist Squad, visited the location and carried out a detailed inspection of the site.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) said, Six gelatin sticks and some detonators, both found separately, were recovered from a carry bag placed outside the toilet inside the Kalasipalya BMTC bus stand. FIR is yet to be registered. An eyewitness, who is also an employee at the public toilet, said, Someone came to use the toilet and left his bag here. We usually keep the bag with us thinking that they might come back to take it. But nobody came, thereafter we informed the guard. We don’t know who the person was.
The discovery of explosives has triggered a wave of worry and panic among the residents, however, police and other security agencies have initiated the probe.
