Delhi Woman Alleges Assault and Rape by Son in Shocking Case

In a distressing incident reported in Delhi’s Hauz Qazi area, a 65-year-old woman has accused her son of rapizing her on two separate occasions. The Delhi Police have arrested the accused, who allegedly locked his mother in a room, forced her to remove her burqa, and physically assaulted her, claiming he was “punishing” her for suspected past infidelity.

The woman, living with her retired government employee husband, the accused son, and their younger daughter in Hauz Qazi, detailed her ordeal in a police complaint. She stated that while the family was on a religious pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia on July 17, the accused repeatedly called his father, demanding their return to Delhi. He accused his mother of having extramarital affairs decades ago, before the birth of his younger sister, and insisted his father divorce her.

Upon the family’s return on August 1, the accused allegedly attacked his mother, forcing her to remove her burqa, locking her in a room, and beating her. He reportedly told his father he was disciplining her for her past behavior. On August 11, the accused isolated his mother under the pretense of a private conversation, locked her in a room, and raped her, stating it was punishment for her alleged past actions, despite her pleas. On August 14, he allegedly assaulted her again while she slept.

Frightened, the woman sought refuge at her elder daughter’s nearby home but returned when the situation escalated. After confiding in her younger daughter, who encouraged her to report the incidents, she approached the police on August 15. The Delhi Police have registered a case under Section 64 (rape) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the accused is in custody as the investigation continues, according to Hindustan Times. The case has shocked the community, highlighting a tragic family conflict.
