Days After Rajnath Singh’s ‘Every Inch of Pakistan Within Reach’ Remark, Pak Army Chief Asim Munir Warns of Decisive Response

Just days after Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh declared that “every inch of Pakistan’s land is within the reach of BrahMos,” Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir issued a stern response, asserting that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with a “firm and decisive reaction.”

Addressing the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters, Munir emphasized that Pakistan would not tolerate any breach of its territorial integrity. His remarks come amid rising tensions following India’s precision military actions earlier this year under Operation Sindoor.

New Delhi launched Operation Sindoor in May after the Pahalgam terror attack, claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), an affiliate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Pakistani authorities had accused India of targeting civilians during the operation, but months later, a video surfaced showing Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander Masood Ilyas referencing the death of Masood Azhar’s relatives in Bahawalpur — indirectly confirming the impact of India’s strike.

‘Every Inch of Pakistan Is Within the Reach of BrahMos’
While speaking at an event in Uttar Pradesh, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hailed Operation Sindoor as a testament to India’s military capability. “BrahMos is not just a missile system; it represents India’s unmatched strength,” he said. “Operation Sindoor proved that victory is not just an incident for us — it’s a habit. If it’s about Pakistan, every inch of their land is within the reach of BrahMos.”

In a pointed remark, Singh added, “Operation Sindoor was only a trailer. If India can give birth to Pakistan, it can…” before pausing dramatically “I need not say any more.”

The exchange reflects escalating rhetoric from both sides as India continues to confront Islamabad over its inaction against terror groups operating from Pakistani territory. Analysts view the statements as symbolic of sharpening national security postures ahead of renewed regional
