CISCE Announces ICSE 2025 Results with Stellar 99.09% Pass Rate

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) released the 2025 Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) Class 10 results on April 30, 2025, showcasing an impressive overall pass percentage of 99.09%. The announcement, made through a press conference at 11 a.m., detailed the performance of 252,557 students who appeared for the exams held between February 18 and March 27, 2025.
Students can access their results on the official CISCE websites, cisce.org and results.cisce.org, by entering their unique ID, index number, and a captcha code. Additionally, results are available via the DigiLocker portal, with original mark sheets to be collected from schools later, as the online versions are provisional. For those without internet access, CISCE offers an SMS service where students can text their unique ID in the format “ICSE ” to 09248082883 to receive their results.
The 2025 results highlight a strong performance, particularly among female students, who achieved a pass percentage of 99.37%, outperforming their male counterparts at 98.84%. The western region led with the highest regional pass rate of 99.64%, followed closely by the southern region at 99.62%. Schools abroad, notably in Indonesia, Singapore, and Dubai, recorded a perfect 100% pass rate.
CISCE has opted not to publish a toppers’ list for 2025, continuing its policy to discourage unhealthy competition among students, a practice aligned with boards like CBSE and several state boards. For students seeking to verify their results, a recheck module is available from April 30 to May 4, 2025, with a fee of ₹1,000 per subject. Those dissatisfied with recheck outcomes can apply for a re-evaluation, costing ₹1,500 per paper. Improvement exams, allowing students to enhance their scores in up to two subjects, are scheduled for July 2025.
The results reflect the hard work of students and educators, with CISCE maintaining its reputation for academic excellence. For further details, students and parents are encouraged to visit the official CISCE website.
