Chhattisgarh: 22 Naxalites Killed in Fierce Encounters in Bijapur and Kanker

Chhattisgarh : In a significant development in Chhattisgarh, security forces neutralized 22 Naxalites in two separate encounters in the Bijapur and Kanker districts. These operations were carried out by a joint team of the state police’s District Reserve Guard (DRG) and other security agencies.

One jawan from the DRG tragically lost his life during the gunfight in Bijapur district, underscoring the risks faced by security forces in combating the Naxal insurgency.

The encounters took place in remote forested areas, where Naxal groups have continued to maintain a strong presence. The operations were part of ongoing efforts to curb the growing influence of Naxalites in the region.

Authorities have commended the bravery of the security personnel involved, while further operations are being planned to secure the region and prevent Naxal activities.
