Blackout in Jammu After Airstrip Targeted, S-400 Defence System Begins Counter

In a significant escalation of tensions, multiple locations in Jammu were targeted by rockets fired from across the International Border late Thursday night, a day after India carried out precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Among the sites targeted was the Jammu airstrip, marking a bold provocation.

According to security sources, a total of eight rockets were launched from Pakistan, aiming at key locations including the Jammu civil airport, Samba, RS Pura, Arnia, and nearby regions. All incoming threats were successfully neutralised by India’s advanced S-400 air defence system.

In addition to Jammu, the Indian Air Force’s defence units were actively intercepting drones and projectiles in Udhampur, Akhnoor, and Pathankot, reflecting heightened military vigilance across the region.

Authorities enforced a full blackout around the Jammu airport as air raid sirens blared across the area. Mobile communication networks were also disrupted throughout Jammu city. Several loud explosions were reported across various parts of the city, underscoring the seriousness of the security threat.
