A suspected overdose of narcotics appears to have claimed the life of 32-year-old Indian travel influencer Anunay Sood, whose body was discovered unresponsive in a Las Vegas hotel room earlier this month, according to a new report from Las Vegas-based news outlet 8NewsNow.
Authorities found Sood in his room at the Wynn Las Vegas on November 4, with traces of narcotics nearby, as detailed in police documents obtained by the outlet. Sood, renowned for his captivating travel photography and videos, had arrived in the city to participate in the Las Vegas Concours 2025 car exhibition, a detail evident from his most recent social media updates.
The incident unfolded in the early hours, the report states. A woman who was sharing the room with Sood informed investigators that she, Sood, and another woman had bought what they thought was cocaine from an individual on the casino floor around 4 a.m. The group ingested the substance before retiring for the night. Approximately an hour later, the two women awoke to find Sood unresponsive.
Law enforcement recovered a small bag of an unidentified white powder from the scene, along with items indicating the powder had been snorted. No arrests have been announced in relation to the matter as of Monday.
Sood’s passing was verified last week by his family and close associates via Instagram, where they appealed for public discretion and discouraged any gatherings outside their home. His final online activity showed him immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of Las Vegas.
In a prior update provided to HT.com, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department described the response: “On November 4, 2025, LVMPD responded to a dead body located in the 3100 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard. Officers assisted the coroner and took a non-criminal/medical report.”
