
Ahmedabad : Air India has said that the black box of the crashed flight, which would provide crucial information about what went wrong, has not been recovered. At least 265 people have died in the Air India plane crash that took place in Ahmedabad on Thursday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ahmedabad and took stock of the situation.
The airline, in a post on X, confirmed that only one of the 242 passengers and crew onboard had miraculously survived the crash. Rescue operations at the site have now been completed. The plane crashed on a resident doctors’ hostel in Ahmedabad, which suffered major damage in the accident. The Indian Medical Association Gujarat has confirmed the deaths of three MBBS students, adding that 45 others have been hospitalised following the incident. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the incident, saying he was “stunned and saddened”.
