TV Actor Anuj Sachdeva Beaten With Stick in Goregaon Society Row Over Parking; Case Filed

Mumbai, Dec 15: Television actor Anuj Premchand Sachdeva, 40, was attacked with a wooden stick by fellow resident Pradeep Singh following a dispute over incorrect parking and the barking of the actor’s pet dog on December 14 night at Harmony Mall Residency in Goregaon West.
The actor lodged a complaint at Bangur Nagar police station, leading to an FIR being registered against Singh on Monday. The incident drew widespread attention after Sachdeva posted footage of the attack on social media platforms.
Late-Night Confrontation During Dog Walk
As per the FIR, Sachdeva lives in flat 701 of Harmony Mall Residency on Link Road, Goregaon West. On Sunday night around 10.30 pm, he was taking his dog Simba for a walk in the society’s parking lot when he photographed a vehicle parked outside its designated slot and shared it in the building’s WhatsApp group.
Around 10.45 pm, while Sachdeva was conversing with his friend Priyanka Pereira, an irate Pradeep Singh confronted him. Singh allegedly refused to move his vehicle and dared the actor to take action.
Resident Attempts to Strike Dog Before Attacking Actor
When Sachdeva’s dog began barking during the confrontation, Singh grew more aggressive. He reportedly grabbed a wooden stick from the security guard and tried to strike the animal, but Pereira managed to pull the dog to safety.
Singh then allegedly turned on Sachdeva, hitting him with the stick on his head, back, and right leg, inflicting injuries. He also threatened Pereira, telling her to “stay at home” as a woman, and issued death threats against the actor.
Mobile Footage Captures Assault, Goes Viral
The actor filmed the assault on his phone and subsequently uploaded the video online. The society’s watchman eventually stepped in to stop the violence, after which Singh drove away. According to the complaint, Singh claimed the police were powerless against him.
Police File Case After Hospital Visit
Following medical treatment at a private hospital, Sachdeva filed his complaint. Police registered an FIR against Singh under Sections 118(2) (causing hurt with dangerous weapons) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Sharing the video on Instagram, the actor wrote, “I am posting this evidence before this person tries to do any damage to me or my property. He tried hitting my dog and me with a rod for notifying the society group regarding his car, which was parked in the wrong place in the society parking lot in Harmony Mall Residency, Goregaon West. This person is from A Wing, flat 602. Kindly share this with people who can take action. I am bleeding from my head.”
Sachdeva explained he had questioned a car parked outside the designated area. “Every flat has one allotted car parking slot. When I asked the watchman about the car, I was told that it belonged to a resident who had two cars. When I put out a message in the building’s Whatsapp group, this man came down to the building compound and threatened me. My friend who was with me started recording the incident. My dog, Simba, reacted to the aggression and tried to defend me and tried to lunge at him. As I was holding him with a leash, the dog did not touch him. But he told me that he will kill the dog. He took a stick and tried to hit me. I felt him hitting my feet with some object that he took out of his pocket,” Sachdeva stated, adding that police assistance was unavailable at night. “I called Roshan Pathak from the PAL Foundation who helped me file a complaint on Monday morning.”
