Technical Glitch On Mumbai Metro Line 7 Near Gundavli Station, Passengers Stranded For 15 Minutes

Mumbai : Passengers on Dahisar East to Gundawali route faced major inconvenience. A technical glitch occurred on Mumbai Metro Line 7 i.e. Dahisar East to Gundawali route around 11 am. The metro coming from Dahisar to Gundawali suddenly stopped, due to which the train was stopped at Gundawali station for 15 to 20 minutes. As a result, the regular schedule was disrupted and a large crowd of passengers gathered in the station area.

As soon as the glitch was reported, the Mahamumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) immediately swung into action. The process of safely evacuating the stranded passengers was started on a war footing. However, the sudden disruption of services has created chaos at the stations and many passengers had to find alternative travel routes.

Prior to that, in October, thousands of commuters faced major inconvenience as metro rail services on Mumbai’s Line 2A and Line 7 were disrupted due to a technical glitch, causing significant delays during peak travel hours. The MMMOCL also posted on X (formerly Twitter), informing about the slight delay.

Several users complained of being stuck for 30 minutes, while another user added that his train was just arriving at Dahanukarwadi and had stopped for 20 minutes at a previous station. Another user complained of no transparency by the authorities during peak hour on a working day.
