Mumbai: Amid growing speculation over unrest within the Shiv Sena (UBT), senior party leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday shared a cryptic social media post on loyalty that has sparked fresh political debate in Maharashtra.
The Rajya Sabha MP posted an image carrying a message about a dog’s unwavering loyalty, suggesting that while a dog never forgets the person who feeds and protects it, some people quickly forget those who stood by them during difficult times. Though Raut did not name anyone, the post came at a time when the Uddhav Thackeray led party is facing reports of discontent among a section of its MPs.
Political observers were quick to link the post to the ongoing turmoil within Shiv Sena (UBT), where rumours of a possible revolt by some Members of Parliament have been making headlines over the past few days. The speculation gained momentum after several MP’s reportedly skipped key party meetings, triggering concerns about a fresh round of defections.
