“A Dog Never Forgets Loyalty”: Sanjay Raut’s Cryptic Post Adds Fuel To Sena MP Revolt Buzz

Mumbai: Amid growing speculation over unrest within the Shiv Sena (UBT), senior party leader Sanjay Raut on Thursday shared a cryptic social media post on loyalty that has sparked fresh political debate in Maharashtra.

The Rajya Sabha MP posted an image carrying a message about a dog’s unwavering loyalty, suggesting that while a dog never forgets the person who feeds and protects it, some people quickly forget those who stood by them during difficult times. Though Raut did not name anyone, the post came at a time when the Uddhav Thackeray led party is facing reports of discontent among a section of its MPs.

Political observers were quick to link the post to the ongoing turmoil within Shiv Sena (UBT), where rumours of a possible revolt by some Members of Parliament have been making headlines over the past few days. The speculation gained momentum after several MP’s reportedly skipped key party meetings, triggering concerns about a fresh round of defections.

Raut’s post is being widely seen as message aimed at leaders who may be considering switching sides. The outspoken sena (UBT) leader has consistently defended the party leadership and has often used social media to make pointed political remarks without directly naming individuals.

The development comes as Shiv Sena (UBT) continues to deal with the after effects of the 2022 split that saw Eknath Shinde lead a rebellion against then Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The revolt divided the party and reshaped Maharashtra’s political landscape, with both factions continuing to battle over the Sena’s legacy and support base.

Sources within the party say the leadership is closely monitoring the situation and has sought explanations from MPs who remained absent from important organisational meetings. While there has been no official confirmation of any impending split, the absence of several lawmakers has raised questions about unity within the parliamentary wing.

Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray has attempted to project confidence, assuring party workers that Shiv Sena (UBT) remains united and committed to its political fight. However, the latest developments have once again brought the spotlight back on internal challenges facing the party.

For now, Raut’s social media post has done what it was perhaps intended to do reignite the conversation around loyalty, commitment and dissent within the Sena ranks. Whether the concerns translate into a full fledged political crisis or remain limited to internal rumblings will become clearer in the days ahead.
