Roadworks In Palghar’s Rural Areas To Be Completed Says Minister Of Public Works Indranil Naik

Roads in the hilly and remote areas of Palghar district will be improved and upgraded to a higher standard. The work order has been issued for the 2.9 km road improvement project on the Dabheri to Bopdari state highway. Additionally, the Dabheri-Rahul-Sagpani major district road project is underway, and both roads will be completed by May 2025, informed Minister of Public Works Indranil Naik while responding to a starred question in the Legislative Assembly.
MLA Rajendra Gavit raised a starred question regarding the rural roads in Palghar district, and MLA Jayant Patil also participated in the discussion. Minister Naik further stated that Maharashtra State Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus services are currently operational on the Dabheri to Dal route. Efforts will be made to restart bus services on routes where they have been discontinued to ease public inconvenience.
Answering a supplementary question during the discussion, Fisheries Minister Nitesh Rane added that the Vadhavan Port is under development in Palghar district, with 26% of the investment coming from the state government. Once completed, this port will place India among the top nations with major terminal capacities. Hence, the government is focusing on developing infrastructure in this region, he assured.
