The controversy of the comedian Kunal Kamra on Deputy Cm Eknath Shinde has has went viral, on this controversy the shivsena activist had vandalised the Habitat Studio where the stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra had recorded his latest video in which he referred to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a “gaddar”.
Shiv Sena functionary Rahool Kanal and 11 others were arrested for vandalising Habitat Studio. The local court had granted them bail the same day. Rahool kanal is a prominent youth leader, led the attack Sunday night, allegedly in response to Kamra’s parody song mocking the Deputy Chief Minister. The leader had issued a warning to Mr Kamra saying ” This is just a trailer. If anybody says anything demeaning or derogatory about our senior leader or our elders, we will not spare them. Whenevr you are in Mumbai, you will get a good lesson in Shiv Sena style”.

- Rahool Kanal is a social activist and philanthropist.

- Close aide to Aaditya Thackeray, leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), and actively involved with the youth wing Yuva Sena of Shiv Sena (undivided) for over a decade.
- Served as the Social Media In-Charge of Shiv Sena.
- In July 2023, left Shiv Sena (UBT) and joined the Eknath Shinde-led faction, where he was appointed General Secretary of Yuva Sena.
- Founded the ‘I Love Mumbai’ Foundation, serving as its President.
- Served as a trustee of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, one of India’s most respected religious institutions.
- A member of the Education Committee at MCGM (Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai).
- President of the Pickleball Association of Maharashtra.
- Owner of ‘Bhaijaanz restaurant’ in Mumbai, named after Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
