Mumbai Braces for a Warm Tuesday with Partly Cloudy Skies and Rising Heat

On Tuesday, February 10, 2026, Mumbai residents experienced a partly cloudy morning accompanied by light haze spreading across the city and its suburbs. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), these conditions are set to persist throughout the day with minimal changes expected in the overall weather pattern.

The maximum daytime temperature is anticipated to climb to approximately 35 degrees Celsius, ushering in a notably warm afternoon. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 19 degrees Celsius, providing some relief during the early hours.

Air quality in Mumbai remained in the moderate range, with the city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 103 on Tuesday, as per data from the Centre’s SAMEER app. Variations were observed across different areas: Bandra-Kurla Complex registered an AQI of 106, Andheri East stood at 116, Chembur at 98, Colaba at 126, Byculla at 97, and Kandivali East at 102. Additional readings included Ghatkopar at 117, Kurla at 97, Malad West at 125, and Mazgaon at 101. In contrast, Bandra East reported a ‘good’ AQI of 98, while Powai achieved a ‘satisfactory’ level with an AQI of 61.

The presence of haze in the morning, combined with partly cloudy skies, contributed to a typical pre-summer feel in the metropolis, even as February progresses. The IMD’s forecast indicates no significant rainfall or major shifts in weather systems for the immediate period, suggesting stable but warm conditions for Mumbai and surrounding areas.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the rising heat as temperatures approach the mid-30s Celsius mark during peak hours. The moderate air quality levels, while not severe, underscore the ongoing need for awareness regarding pollution in densely populated zones.

This update aligns with recent trends showing warmer-than-usual February days in Mumbai, influenced by stable atmospheric conditions and limited wind dispersion. The IMD continues to monitor developments closely for any potential changes in the coming days.
