The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has scheduled essential maintenance on a vital 1,200 mm water pipeline that feeds the Turbhe Low-Level Reservoir, triggering an eight-hour suspension of supply in parts of the M East and M West wards this Sunday.
According to a release from the BMC’s Public Relations Department on Saturday, the work is set for December 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Authorities identified a leak in the primary line, which is crucial for delivering consistent water to significant sections of eastern Mumbai, necessitating the prompt intervention to prevent broader disruptions.
