Mumbai – A 31-year-old resident of Mumbai’s bustling Jogeshwari neighborhood took her own life Wednesday night by jumping from the 11th floor of a prominent high-rise apartment complex, authorities confirmed Thursday.

The Meghwadi police station reported that the woman, identified as Shristi Amit Jain, leaped from the C Wing of the Oberoi Splendour building, situated close to the BEST’s Majas Depot. The incident occurred around 11 p.m., catching residents off guard in the quiet hours.

Investigators from the Meghwadi police station arrived promptly at the scene, where a thorough search yielded no suicide note or immediate clues to her state of mind. Officers noted the absence of any overt signs of distress in the apartment, though they emphasized that the inquiry remains in its early stages.

In line with standard protocol for such cases, police have filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) to formalize the initial documentation. A deeper investigation is now under way to explore potential contributing factors, including personal circumstances or external pressures, though no foul play is suspected at this juncture.
