MUMBAI – A cab driver in Mumbai has been charged by the police following a shocking incident where a man was dragged on the bonnet of his moving vehicle for approximately six kilometers, from the domestic airport to Jogeshwari. The episode, captured on video by a fellow commuter, went viral on social media, prompting swift action from the Mumbai Police.

According to a statement from Mumbai Police to mid-day.com, the incident stemmed from a heated altercation near the airport. The cab driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly drove off with the man clinging to the front of the car. The video footage, widely shared online, showed the man precariously holding onto the vehicle as it sped through the city streets.

The Airport Police Station registered a case against the driver under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances of the dispute that led to the dangerous act.
