According to a statement from Mumbai Police to mid-day.com, the incident stemmed from a heated altercation near the airport. The cab driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly drove off with the man clinging to the front of the car. The video footage, widely shared online, showed the man precariously holding onto the vehicle as it sped through the city streets.
The Airport Police Station registered a case against the driver under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances of the dispute that led to the dangerous act.
