Mumbai Local Trains Adjust Late-Night and Early-Morning Schedules for August 10

Mumbai’s local train services, a lifeline for millions of commuters, will operate on a revised timetable for late-night and early-morning hours on August 10, according to an announcement from Central Railway. The changes, prompted by operational requirements, aim to maintain efficient service during off-peak hours while ensuring passenger convenience.

Central Railway officials stated that the adjustments will affect specific suburban train services on the Main and Harbour lines. On the Main Line, late-night trains departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) will see slight modifications in departure times. For instance, the 12:08 AM slow local to Kalyan will now leave at 12:15 AM, while the 12:25 AM fast local to Kasara will depart at 12:30 AM. Similarly, the 1:05 AM slow local to Thane will be rescheduled to 1:10 AM. These shifts are designed to streamline operations without significantly disrupting passenger travel plans.

The Harbour Line will also experience changes, with select services adjusted to align with the revised schedule. The 12:20 AM Panvel-bound train from CSMT will now depart at 12:25 AM, and the 12:45 AM train to Vashi will leave at 12:50 AM. Central Railway has ensured that these tweaks are minimal to avoid confusion for regular commuters who rely on these services during late hours.

A Central Railway spokesperson emphasized that the revised timings are temporary and specific to August 10, urging passengers to check the updated schedule on the railway’s official website or at station notice boards. The announcement was also shared via ANI, highlighting the railway’s commitment to transparency and timely communication.

Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly, particularly those traveling late at night or early in the morning. Central Railway has assured that regular services during peak hours will remain unaffected, maintaining the reliability of Mumbai’s suburban rail network, which transports millions daily across the city and its suburbs.

For the latest updates, passengers can refer to Central Railway’s official channels or contact station authorities. The temporary schedule aims to balance operational efficiency with commuter convenience, ensuring Mumbai’s local trains continue to serve as the city’s backbone.
