MMRDA demands Rs 5,500 crore
MMRDA had demanded Rs 5,500 crore from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation for the cost of infrastructure development projects implemented in Mumbai. So far, Mumbai Municipal Corporation has paid an amount of Rs 2,000 crore to MMRDA and there is a fund of Rs 3,500 crore remaining. But since Mumbai Municipal Corporation has also undertaken many projects, thousands of crores are yet to be received from the authority. Its expenses will be borne by the Municipal Corporation. Therefore, it is being received that only Rs 1,400 crore is yet to be paid to the Municipal Corporation’s written authority. (BMC)
