MUMBAI: Maye Musk, the accomplished supermodel, dietitian, and mother of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, celebrated her 77th birthday in Mumbai on Saturday. The occasion was marked by the launch of the Hindi translation of her bestselling memoir, Jab Aurat Sochti Hai, a rendition of A Woman Makes a Plan: Advice for a Lifetime of Adventure, Beauty, and Success.

With a career spanning more than five decades, Musk began modeling in South Africa at age 15. She holds two master’s degrees in nutrition science and has successfully juggled careers in modeling and dietetics.
