Marwari Community’s Major Contribution to Maharashtra’s Economy and Development – CM Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai: The Marwari community from Rajasthan has established itself in Maharashtra through sheer hard work and has made a significant contribution to the state’s economy and development, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He praised the community for leaving their birthplace and excelling in their adopted land through dedication and perseverance.

The CM was speaking at the civic felicitation ceremony of Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur, organized by the Rajasthan Global Forum at Birla Matushree Hall. The event was attended by IT & Cultural Affairs Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar, MLA Abhimanyu Pawar, former MLA Raj Purohit, Sanjay Upadhyay, Vijay Darda, actor and poet Shailesh Lodha, and Rajasthan Global Forum representatives Rakesh Mehta, Motilal Oswal, and Dilip Maheshwari.

CM Fadnavis appreciated the Rajasthan Global Forum for its various social initiatives and acknowledged the significant role of the Rajasthani community in Mumbai and Maharashtra’s progress. He described Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur as a sensitive leader with deep political and social connections, actively involved in nation-building efforts. He further highlighted Mathur’s exceptional self-confidence as a defining trait of his personality.

In his response, Governor Om Prakash Mathur expressed gratitude and said, “Whatever has been achieved is due to the hard work of everyone. This is the real honor. In my public life, once I make a friend, they remain a friend for life. I have never severed ties with anyone. The ability to help everyone is the greatest honor I have received.” He further added that he is proud to be called “Bhai Saheb” and expressed deep appreciation for CM Devendra Fadnavis’ commendable efforts in the development of Mumbai and Maharashtra.
