Eyewitness Manjeet Dhillon captured the heart-pounding moment in a viral Instagram post, detailing how the Good Samaritan spotted the woman, who had suddenly entered labor while aboard a moving train. Acting swiftly, he yanked the emergency chain to halt the locomotive, creating a makeshift delivery space amid the platform’s fluorescent glow. “This man is truly brave—words aren’t enough to describe him,” Dhillon recounted in his caption. “It all started around 1 AM at Ram Mandir station, when he pulled the train’s emergency chain to stop it. I still get chills saying this—the woman’s baby was halfway out, half inside and half outside. At that very moment, it truly felt like God had sent this brother there for a reason.”
Video footage accompanying the post reveals the man’s raw nerves as he navigates the unforeseen crisis. Speaking in Hindi, he confesses, “Pehli baar kiya hai jeevan mein maine yeh. Itna darr lag raha tha na par video call pe madam ne help kiya.” Translated, this means: “It’s the first time I’ve done something like this. I was very scared, but the madam helped me over video call.” Despite his inexperience, the man followed precise instructions from a female doctor reached via phone, ensuring the newborn’s safe arrival.
The woman’s relatives had earlier sought aid at a nearby hospital, only to be denied treatment, compelling them to board the train in desperation. “It’s truly shameful that a hospital refused to help a mother in such a situation,” he lamented. With the ambulance delayed, bystanders rallied, dialing multiple physicians until the video guidance proved pivotal. “We all tried our best… Finally, a female doctor guided him over a video call, and he did exactly what she instructed. His courage in that moment was beyond words.”
In the aftermath, the man and fellow passengers escorted the mother and infant to medical care, securing their well-being. “That night, this man became the reason two lives were saved. He saved both the mother and the baby’s lives, and together we made sure she reached the hospital safely. I can’t even express in words what I’m feeling right now.
