Mumbai: A formal complaint has been submitted to the Mumbai Police requesting a cyber investigation into the Instagram activity and follower engagement patterns of the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP), according to reports.
The complaint raises concerns regarding the organisation’s social media growth and engagement metrics on Instagram. The complainant has sought a detailed probe by the cyber department to determine whether any irregularities exist in the account’s digital activity.
Demand For Technical Examination
As reported, the complaint urges authorities to examine the authenticity of follower numbers, engagement trends, and online interactions linked to the organisation’s Instagram presence. It also calls for an assessment of whether any automated or artificial methods may have been used to increase visibility and engagement on the platform.
The matter has reportedly been placed before the Mumbai Police for further consideration and necessary action.
