Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj State Inspirational Song Award Presented by Amit Shah and Devendra Fadnavis

Mumbai: In a significant cultural moment, the Maharashtra Government’s first-ever “Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj State Inspirational Song Award” was presented at the official residence “Varsha” by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

The award was given to Swatantryaveer Savarkar Pratishthan for the powerful patriotic song “Anadi Mee… Anant Mee…” penned by Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. The award ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Minister for Cultural Affairs and Information Technology Adv. Ashish Shelar, Protocol and Marketing Minister Jaykumar Rawal, MLA Sanjay Upadhyay, Additional Chief Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Department Vikas Kharage, Director of Cultural Affairs Vibhishan Chavare, and several family members and representatives of the Savarkar Pratishthan including Ranjit Savarkar, Ashilata Raje, Swapnil Savarkar, Manjiri Marathe, and Avinash Dharmadhikari.

During the ceremony, a cheque of ₹2 lakh was handed over to the representatives of Savarkar Pratishthan for the National Memorial of Swatantryaveer Savarkar by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

On the occasion, Cultural Affairs Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar remarked, “The life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is an inspiration both for living and for sacrificing oneself. With extraordinary intellect, he also made immense contributions to literature through his writings and poetry. That’s why the state has decided to name this prestigious award after him.”

Minister Shelar further stated that Savarkar’s iconic song “Anadi Mee, Anant Mee…” resonates with immense inner strength and self-belief, and it is only fitting that this song receives the inaugural Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Inspirational Song Award.
