Central Railway Announces Mega Block on April 13 in Mumbai | Check Details

Mumbai: Central Railway has declared a mega block on Sunday, April 13, to facilitate essential maintenance work on Mumbai’s suburban rail network. The block will affect services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Vidyavihar on the Up and Down Slow Lines, as well as between Kurla and Vashi on the Harbour Line.

Train services departing from CSMT on the Down Slow Line between 10:48 AM and 3:32 PM will be rerouted via the Down Fast Line. These diverted trains will halt at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla, before returning to the Slow Line at Vidyavihar.

The last service before the block will depart CSMT at 10:07 AM, while the first train to run after the block will leave at 3:40 PM. During this window, suburban trains will not stop at Masjid, Sandhurst Road, Chinchpokli, and Curry Road stations.

Similarly, Up Slow Line services from Ghatkopar to CSMT between 10:19 AM and 3:29 PM will be diverted to the Up Fast Line. These trains will stop at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla, but will skip stops at Curry Road, Chinchpokli, Sandhurst Road, and Masjid.

Central Railway has advised passengers to review the revised schedules and plan their travel accordingly to avoid disruptions. The update was shared via Central Railway’s official handle on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
