Five people sustained injuries when a lift plummeted in a high-rise residential building in Mumbai’s Byculla area late on Tuesday night.
The mishap took place at Jay Krupa Tower, situated on Ghodapdeo Cross Lane No. 1, an 18-storey structure, around 10 pm. According to officials, who cited information from the Mumbai Police Control room, the lift is believed to have fallen from the fourth floor, apparently due to a cable failure or breakage.
All five injured individuals were promptly shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Reports indicate their conditions are stable.
