Uddhav Thackeray Say’s ‘BJP Should Remove Green Colour From Party Flag If it Dislikes Muslims’

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday, stating that the party’s stance on the Waqf Amendment Bill was so extreme that it would “put Muhammad Ali Jinnah to shame.”
Speaking at a press conference after the bill was passed in the Lok Sabha, Thackeray accused the BJP of using the legislation as a pretext to seize land and transfer it to industrialists. He claimed his party firmly opposed what he described as the BJP’s “fraudulent” position on the issue.
The former BJP ally also questioned why the party continues to stir Hindu-Muslim debates despite securing a third consecutive term at the Centre. Taking a direct jab, he challenged the saffron party to remove the green color from its flag if it truly disliked Muslims.
Thackeray further criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not addressing the country on the looming threat of U.S. tariffs and what steps the government is taking to counter them.
