Mid-Air Health Scare Prompts Investigation on Air India Flight from London to Mumbai

MUMBAI: An Air India flight from London to Mumbai encountered a concerning incident on Monday when multiple passengers and crew members experienced dizziness and nausea mid-flight, according to sources. The airline, however, reported that only five passengers and two crew members were affected on flight AI-130, operated by a Boeing 777.
Air India confirmed the event in a statement, noting that the affected individuals reported symptoms at various points during the journey. Upon landing safely in Mumbai, medical teams were on hand to provide immediate assistance to those impacted. The cause of the illness remains under investigation, with potential factors such as inadequate oxygen levels, which can lead to hypoxia, or food poisoning being considered. Hypoxia and food-related issues are known to cause symptoms like nausea and dizziness on flights.
