AI-Powered ‘Naisha’ Trailer Debuts, Pioneering Virtual Stars in Indian Cinema

Mumbai – Indian cinema is set to embrace a groundbreaking innovation with the arrival of ‘Naisha,’ the nation’s first feature film to star AI-generated actors. The trailer for ‘Naisha’ has been released, offering a glimpse into what could be the future of filmmaking.
Directed by Vivek Anchalia and produced by Pori Bhuyan, Shweta Sharma Anchalia, and Joseph Franklin, ‘Naisha’ ventures into uncharted territory by casting virtual personalities, Naisha Bose and Zain Kapoor, in the lead roles.
The film narrates the story of Naisha, a woman with Bengali and Mizo heritage, and Zain, a multi-talented stand-up comedian, rapper, and swimmer. Their connection deepens as they navigate a complex relationship where Naisha seeks love, but Zain harbors reservations. As their paths diverge, Naisha achieves stardom as a prominent actress, setting the stage for unforeseen events.
Director Vivek Anchalia, previously recognized for ‘Tikdam’ on Jio Hotstar and co-writing the Netflix film ‘Rajma Chawal,’ views ‘Naisha’ as a significant stride forward for Bollywood. Anchalia stated, “AI empowers us to transform the unimaginable into tangible reality. ‘Naisha’ seamlessly integrates technology, Indian musical traditions, and compelling human narratives to deliver an unprecedented cinematic journey.” With a noteworthy musical score and its revolutionary premise, ‘Naisha’ is poised to potentially revolutionize the conventional filmmaking landscape.
