Mumbai : Work from home once sounded like the perfect deal. No traffic, no office pressure, no dressing up every morning. But for many employees in tech, the reality now feels very different.

A software engineer’s recent viral post has triggered a serious conversation online after he opened up about feeling constantly dizzy, mentally exhausted, and unable to focus while working remotely for months.

The engineer wrote that even after sleeping for nearly nine hours, he woke up feeling tired every single day. His routine had slowly become limited to one room, one screen, and endless work calls. No sunlight, barley any movement, and almost so social interaction.

He also mentioned how AI coding tools are changing everyday work. While they help finish tasks faster, he said the job now feels less engaging and far more isolated than before.

Soon, thousands of people started reacting to the post. Maany shared similar experiences brain fog, low energy, poor sleep, anxiety, and the strange feeling of being “always online” but mentally disconnected.

Some users blamed unhealthy routines rather than work from home itsef. Others said remote work has quitely blurred the line between office life and personal life, leaving people mentally switched on all the time.

Doctors and wellness experts have repeatedly warned that long hours indoors, lack of physical activity, and reduced sunlight exposure can affect both mental and physical health. But posts like this are now making the issue feel more real because employees themselves are openly talking about it.
