Trump Claims Rob Reiner Had ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’ In Shocking Post After Director’s Death

A day after filmmaker and actor Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer, were discovered dead at their Los Angeles residence on Sunday, US President Donald Trump claimed he was killed “reportedly due to the anger he caused others through a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.”
While Hollywood mourned Reiner, who starred in the Leonardo DiCaprio film ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ and was renowned for directing the timeless romantic classic ‘When Harry Met Sally,’ Trump reached a new low by describing one of his most vocal critics as “tortured and struggling” a day following his death.
Trump posted on Truth Social, writing, “He was known to have driven people CRAZY by his raging obsession of President Donald J. Trump, with his obvious paranoia reaching new heights as the Trump Administration surpassed all goals and expectations of greatness, and with the Golden Age of America upon us, perhaps like never before.”

Trump ended the post by stating, “May Rob and Michele rest in peace!” The 78-year-old filmmaker was never hesitant to speak out against Trump. In a conversation with Variety magazine in 2017, Reiner declared, “Donald Trump is the single most unqualified human being to ever assume the presidency of the United States.”
Earlier, Reiner had also labeled Trump “mentally unfit” and consistently characterized him as an autocrat throughout the years.
In 2024, he even defended worries about then US President and Trump’s opponent Joe Biden’s age, commenting, “Look, he’s old!”
Just a day after the deaths of Reiner and his wife, law enforcement officials in Los Angeles detained their son, Nick, on Sunday night following the discovery of his parents’ bodies inside their expansive $13.5 million residence, the New York Post reported, citing sources.
