Lashkar Commander’s Anti-India Rally in Lahore Sparks Outrage

Lahore, May 30, 2025: Saifullah Kasuri, a senior Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) commander implicated in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, delivered a fiery anti-India speech at a rally in Lahore on Wednesday. The event, attended by Pakistani security forces, intelligence officials from the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), and prominent figures including Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan, highlighted the close ties between Pakistan’s establishment and terror groups, the report noted.

Kasuri, accused of orchestrating the attack that claimed 26 lives, mostly tourists, boasted about his increased notoriety, stating, “I have become more famous since being accused of the attack.” He shared stage with Talha Saeed, a US-designated terrorist and son of LeT chief Hafiz Saeed, further underscoring the event’s ties to the terror network. During the rally, Kasuri made inflammatory remarks against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, responding to Modi’s recent Bhuj speech where he warned Pakistan to prepare for India’s retaliation if it continued to use terrorism as a weapon. “Narendra Modi samajhta hai hum goliyon se darne wale hain? Ye uski bhool hai (Modi is mistaken if he thinks we are scared of bullets),” Kasuri declared.

Despite previously denying involvement in the Pahalgam attack, Kasuri praised Pakistan’s cyber team for allegedly targeting India’s communication and railway infrastructure, a claim Indian authorities have dismissed as false. His past roles as president of the Milli Muslim League and a member of Jamaat-ud-Dawa’s coordination committee, the so-called charitable arm of LeT, were also highlighted in the report.
