Clashes Erupt in Minneapolis Area as Protesters Decry Fatal ICE Shooting of Woman

Saint Paul, Minnesota — Tensions boiled over in the Minneapolis metropolitan area on Thursday as demonstrators confronted federal law enforcement officers, protesting the fatal shooting of a woman by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents the previous day.
The confrontation unfolded outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building in Saint Paul, where protesters gathered to voice outrage over the incident involving Renee Nicole Good. According to news agency AFP, at least one demonstrator was detained during the clashes.
Federal agents deployed pepperball guns and tear gas to disperse the crowd. Among the protesters, at least one held a sign declaring “ICE = murder,” highlighting the intensity of the opposition to the agency’s actions.
