Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu Praises Trump’s ‘History Changing’ US Strikes on Iran Nuclear Facilities

Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lauded US President Donald Trump on Sunday for what he called a “bold” and “history-changing” US military operation targeting three key Iranian nuclear facilities. The strikes, described as a “very successful attack,” hit Iran’s Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan sites, escalating tensions in the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.
In a video address, Netanyahu emphasized the US operation’s significance, stating, “President Trump and I share a belief in ‘peace through strength.’ Tonight, the United States demonstrated immense strength.” He praised Trump’s leadership, saying the strikes showcased America’s unmatched military prowess and could pave the way for “prosperity and peace” in the Middle East.
Trump, speaking to Fox News, revealed that the operation involved six bunker-buster bombs targeting Fordow and 30 Tomahawk missiles launched at other nuclear sites. In a Truth Social post, he confirmed, “A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow,” adding that all US planes returned safely. He hailed the operation as a “historic moment” for the US, Israel, and the world, urging Iran to “end this war.” Trump announced he would address the nation at 10 p.m. local time to discuss the “very successful military operation.”
Netanyahu described the US action as unparalleled, stating, “In tonight’s attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, America has done what no other country could.” He credited Trump with denying “the world’s most dangerous regime” access to nuclear weapons, calling it a pivotal moment in history. “God bless America, God bless Israel, and God bless our unbreakable alliance,” he concluded.
The US strikes follow Israel’s “Operation Rising Lion,” which targeted Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure, top generals, and nuclear scientists. Israel claimed the operation was launched to thwart Iran’s imminent development of a nuclear weapon. According to a Washington-based Iranian human rights group, over 600 people have been killed in Iran. Israel reported that Iran retaliated with 450 missiles and 1,000 drones, resulting in at least 24 deaths.
