Indian Man Brutally Attacked in Suspected Racist Assault in Dublin

A woman who aided an Indian man following a vicious attack in Dublin has shared harrowing details of the incident, describing it as a racially motivated assault. The victim, a man in his 40s employed by Amazon, had arrived in Ireland just three weeks prior to the assault, which occurred on Saturday evening in the Tallaght suburb of Dublin. According to Jennifer Murray, a local resident, she was driving when she encountered a crowd of approximately 30 people surrounding the man, who was covered in blood and pleading for help.

In a video posted on Facebook, Murray recounted stopping her car after noticing the bloodied man, who informed her he had been stabbed, stripped of his clothing, and left on the street. The attackers, identified as a group of young men, reportedly took his shoes, trousers, underwear, wallet, and phone, leaving him in a dire state. Murray provided a blanket to cover the victim, who expressed embarrassment and shock while mentioning his wife and 11-month-old child awaiting visas in India. “He was so extremely polite to me the whole time,” Murray noted in the emotional video, as reported.

Murray also spoke to The Journal, labeling the attack as “pure racism” targeting innocent individuals. She described the assailants as teenagers who falsely accused the man of being a pedophile, a claim used to justify the assault. The Irish National Police, known as Gardaí, confirmed they were alerted to the incident around 6 p.m. on Saturday and transported the victim to Tallaght University Hospital for treatment. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities treating the case as a possible hate crime.
