Elon Musk Threatens To Launch New ‘America Party’ If Trump’s Controversial Spending Bill Passes

Businessman and former Senior Advisor to the President of the US, Elon Musk has issued a sharp ultimatum to his former political ally, President Donald Trump: if the administration’s sweeping new tax-and-spending bill, dubbed the “One Big, Beautiful Bill”, is passed, Musk says he will form a new political faction called the “America Party” the next day.

The legislation, a cornerstone of Trump’s second-term agenda, is currently under debate in the Senate. Musk, once a major backer of Trump who donated over $250 million to his campaign, has repeatedly denounced the bill, warning it would plunge the nation deeper into what he calls “debt slavery.”

Titled the “One Big, Beautiful Bill,” the legislation includes major increases in defense, energy, and border security funding, while slashing budgets for healthcare and nutrition programs. According to the Congressional Budget Office, it would raise the national deficit by approximately $3.3 trillion over the next decade.

Musk, who was once considered for a cabinet-level role as head of a proposed Department of Government Efficiency, has now emerged as one of the bill’s most vocal critics. “It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!! Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people,” Musk wrote on social media.

Musk’s threat to create a new political movement gained traction online after he declared that a formal announcement would follow immediately if the bill passes. “If this insane spending bill passes, the America Party will be formed the next day. Our country needs an alternative to the Democrat-Republican uniparty so that the people actually have a VOICE,” Musk declared on X.

The rift between Trump and Musk marks a dramatic fall from grace. Just last month, Musk exited the White House after being hailed by the president and given a ceremonial key. Trump had once described Musk as a “visionary leader” and praised him for campaigning on his behalf.
