Dubai’s Airport Road Traffic Flows Smoothly Again After Temporary Closure

Dubai: Authorities have confirmed that traffic has fully normalised on all routes approaching Airport Road, a key artery connecting to Dubai International Airport (DXB), following a brief interruption earlier in the day.
According to Dubai Police, the resumption of normal flow came after the reopening of the Al Amiri Airport Intersection. This included the restoration of access for vehicles travelling from Al Khawaneej Street towards Al Rashidiyah, which had been affected by the earlier closure.
The update from Dubai Police marks the end of temporary disruptions that had impacted commuters heading to and from the airport vicinity. Drivers approaching from other directions, such as Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, Al Khawaneej, and Marrakech Street, were previously advised to consider alternative paths during the period of restriction to minimise delays.
The swift return to regular conditions underscores the effectiveness of traffic management measures implemented by Dubai Police in coordination with relevant authorities. No further restrictions were reported on the main Airport Road leading to DXB, allowing seamless movement for motorists, airport passengers, and commercial traffic.
