President Donald Trump has issued a fierce condemnation of the savage beheading of Chandra Nagamallaiah, an Indian-origin motel manager in Dallas, Texas, vowing an end to leniency toward criminal undocumented immigrants in the United States.
In a Monday post on Truth Social, Trump highlighted the shocking murder of the 50-year-old Nagamallaiah, describing him as “a well respected person in Dallas, Texas.” The attack unfolded in the early hours of September 10 outside the Downtown Suites motel in East Dallas, where the victim was struck repeatedly with a machete in front of his wife and young son amid a dispute over a washing machine, according to witnesses and Dallas police reports.
Trump pointed to the suspect, Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, a 37-year-old Cuban national in the country illegally, as the perpetrator. “I am aware of the terrible reports regarding the murder of Chandra Nagamallaiah, a well respected person in Dallas, Texas, who was brutally beheaded, in front of his wife and son, by an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Cuba who should have never been in our Country,” Trump wrote.
The president noted that Cobos-Martinez had a prior record of serious offenses, including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment. Despite these arrests, the suspect was released back into the U.S. under the Biden administration because Cuba refused repatriation of such an individual, Trump claimed.

Declaring an era of tougher enforcement, Trump stated, “The time for being soft on these Illegal Immigrant Criminals is OVER under my watch!” He praised key administration officials for their efforts to bolster security, adding, “Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Attorney General Pam Bondi, Border Czar Tom Homan, and many others in my Administration, are doing an incredible job in, MAKING AMERICA SAFE AGAIN.”
Trump further assured that the suspect, now in custody at Dallas County Jail on a capital murder charge, faces rigorous prosecution. “This criminal, who we have in custody, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law. He will be charged with murder in the first degree!” he emphasized.
Dallas Police Executive Assistant Chief Terrence Rhodes confirmed the victim’s death from multiple edged-weapon injuries but withheld additional investigative details. Witnesses recounted the brutality to local media, with one saying the attacker “chopped his head off” with the machete.
