BTS Star Jungkook Pushes Back Against Fans’ Attempts to Dictate His Routine

During a relaxed Weverse livestream following BTS’s triumphant sold-out concerts in Madrid, Jungkook directly addressed fans’ repeated suggestions about his bedtime, firmly asserting his right to manage his own schedule.

The BTS member went live shortly after the group’s performances on June 26 and 27, where he interacted warmly with supporters, shared a beer, and enjoyed popular TikTok videos. As the session progressed, multiple viewers urged him to rest, prompting a candid response from the singer.

“I’m sorry, but please don’t tell me to go to bed. Don’t tell me to go to bed. I’ll sleep when I decide to,” Jungkook stated clearly. He acknowledged the well-intentioned nature of the comments, explaining his ongoing difficulties with sleep. “I appreciate that you’re worried about me, and I know you’re saying it because you care, but I’m not sleepy. I’m just not sleepy. What can I do? Even if I want to sleep, I’m not very good at it. I have to take medication to sleep. I just can’t fall asleep.”

Jungkook emphasized that late nights are part of his natural rhythm and not indicative of excessive workload. “Honestly, I probably won’t get sleepy until around 2. That’s just how I’ve always been. It’s normal for me. I’m not overdoing it. I’m staying up because that’s what I want to do,” he clarified. While expressing gratitude for fans’ concern, he politely requested respect for his personal space: “I really appreciate your concern, and I’m genuinely, genuinely okay. So please don’t say things like, ‘Go to bed soon.’ You don’t have to say that. I’m okay. Really, really okay.”

In other parts of the livestream, Jungkook reflected on a previous broadcast where he had appeared under the influence and used strong language. He offered apologies to those who were discomforted by it but expressed confusion over the level of criticism, maintaining that he did not view his comments as inappropriate. He reassured fans that his intentions toward ARMY have always remained sincere.

The Madrid shows marked another highlight in BTS’s ongoing ARIRANG World Tour. The group is scheduled to perform next in Brussels, London, Munich, and Paris, before continuing to Asia and wrapping up the next phase of the tour in Australia.

Jungkook’s remarks highlight the balance many public figures navigate between deep fan engagement and maintaining individual autonomy. His straightforward message underscores a desire for understanding around personal habits, particularly sleep challenges, amid a demanding career. The interaction provided fans with insight into his perspective, reinforcing the close yet bounded relationship between the artist and his global supporter base.
