Brooklyn Restaurant Shooting: 3 Dead, 8 Hurt After Gunfire Erupts at Taste of the City Lounge

New York City police are searching for multiple gunmen who opened fire inside Taste of the City Lounge in Crown Heights early Sunday, killing three people and wounding eight others.
- The shooting began about 3:30 a.m. at the restaurant-bar on 903 Franklin Avenue, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.
- Eleven people were struck by bullets eight men and three women. Two of the slain victims were men aged 27 and 35; investigators have yet to confirm the identity of the third person who died.
- All surviving victims were taken to nearby hospitals. Police have not released details on their conditions
- Detectives recovered at least 36 shell casings at the scene and believe several assailants were involved. No arrests have been made, and the motive remains under investigation.
- Taste of the City Lounge, which opened in 2022 near the Brooklyn Museum, closed at 3 a.m. about half an hour before the gunfire—after an evening featuring American-Caribbean food, bar service, hookah and a live DJ.
Authorities urged anyone with information or video of the incident to contact the NYPD as the investigation continues.
