Bill Gates Expresses Deep Regret Over Epstein Association Amid Fresh Document Claims

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has publicly voiced profound remorse for his past meetings with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, declaring that he regrets every minute spent in his company and offering an apology for the association.
In an interview , Gates addressed the recent release of additional documents by the US Justice Department related to Epstein investigations. These files include draft emails attributed to Epstein from 2013, containing unsubstantiated allegations that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease (STD) following encounters with “Russian girls” and sought to covertly supply antibiotics to his then-wife, Melinda French Gates, to conceal it. One email also referenced claims of facilitating extramarital affairs.
Gates firmly rejected these assertions, describing the unsent draft email as “false.” He speculated that Epstein may have been attempting to defame or target him in some manner. A spokesperson for Gates previously labeled the claims “absolutely absurd and completely false,” adding that they reflect Epstein’s frustration over the end of their contact and efforts to entrap or discredit him.
Gates clarified that his interactions with Epstein occurred after the latter’s 2008 conviction and were limited to dinners focused on potential fundraising for global health causes through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He stressed he never visited Epstein’s island, never met any of the women involved in Epstein’s crimes, and had no involvement in any illicit activities. “In retrospect, that was a dead end,” Gates said. “I was foolish to spend time with him. I was one of many people who regret ever knowing him.”

The comments follow statements from his ex-wife, Melinda French Gates, who told that the renewed focus on her former husband’s name in the Epstein files has resurfaced “painful times” from their marriage, which concluded in divorce in 2021. She noted that those named in the documents, including Gates, should address any remaining questions.
No accusations of criminal wrongdoing have been leveled against Gates by Epstein’s victims, and his name’s appearance in the files does not indicate involvement in Epstein’s illegal conduct. Gates has repeatedly described the Epstein connection as a major error in judgment that lent the financier unwarranted credibility.
