Wife And Lover Stage Husband’s Murder As Hit-And-Run In Rajasthan

In a shocking case from Sri Ganganagar district in Rajasthan, police have arrested four people, including a young bride, for allegedly murdering her husband just three months after their wedding and attempting to disguise the crime as a road accident.
The victim, 25-year-old Ashish, was found dead on a deserted road near 01 KLM village in the Rawla Mandi area on the night of January 30–31, 2026. His uncle, Wazirchand, initially reported to authorities that an unidentified vehicle had struck and killed him, leading police to register the matter as a hit-and-run accident.
However, the post-mortem examination quickly raised red flags. The injuries—including blunt force trauma to the head and evidence of strangulation—did not match those typically caused by a vehicle collision. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) examined the scene, prompting investigators to treat the death as a suspected homicide.
Further probe, aided by technical surveillance and forensic clues, unraveled a premeditated conspiracy. District Superintendent of Police Dr. Amrita Duhan revealed that Ashish had married Arju, also known as Anjali, approximately three months earlier in an arranged marriage. Anjali was reportedly unhappy in the union and continued a relationship with another man, Sanjay alias Sanju.

According to police, Anjali collaborated with Sanjay and two of his associates—Rohit alias Rocky and Badal alias Siddharth—to eliminate her husband. On the fateful night, she lured Ashish to the isolated spot on the pretext of an evening walk. Once there, she allegedly signaled the waiting trio, who ambushed him, beating him severely with sticks until he lost consciousness. To ensure death, they then strangled him with a muffler.
In a bid to mislead investigators into believing it was either a road accident or a robbery, Anjali handed over Ashish’s mobile phone and her own earrings to the accused, who then fled the area.
The breakthrough came through meticulous analysis of evidence and interrogations. On Monday (February 3, 2026), police arrested all four suspects: Anjali, Sanjay, Rohit, and Badal.
“The murder was carefully planned, but forensic evidence and technical analysis helped uncover the truth,” SP Dr. Amrita Duhan stated. Authorities continue their investigation to gather additional evidence and determine if others were involved, with appropriate charges to be filed under relevant sections of law.
This incident underscores how routine police scrutiny and scientific methods can expose even well-concealed crimes.
